Isolation of Listeria Spp. front milk and cheese. The Authors carrried out a microbiological survey on raw and pasteurized milk and cheese in order to evaluate the presence of Listeria spp. 884 different products on sale by retail shops, factories, industries were examined, particularly 290 raw milk, 348 pasteurized milk and 246 cheese specimens. Listeria spp. was recovered front 24 (8,3%) of raw milk specimens and 18 (7,3%) of cheese with highest level in the sample of erborinate cheese (15%). Of the 26 Listeria species strains isolated front 24 raw milk specimens, 16 (5,5%) were Listeria innocua, 8 (2,8%) were Listeria monocytogenes and 2 (0,7%) were Listeria gray. Of the 20 Listeria species strains isolated from cheese specimens, 12 (4,9%) were Listeria innocua, 6 (2,4%) were Listeria monocytogenes and 2 (0,8%) were Listeria welshimeri. The Authors made recommendatìons in order to control and prevent these infections.
