First results were described of a search dedicated to the integrated study of soil-vegetation-entomo fauna applied to the structure and functionality of the ecotones present in the margin of agroecosystems in the hills of the mean adriatic slope. The vegetational study has allowed the reconstruction of four dynamic series and the characterization of coenoses herbaceous, shrubby and arboreal. Shrubby coenoses show an insufficient presence of Coccinellids, while alfalfa crops are preferred. Studies of Carabids have shown a high value of the biodiversity indices for all the coenoses vegetables estimated.
