Abstract
The aim of the study has been the development of the numerical model of marine pipelines for deep water applications: since very few experimental data are available about pipes behaviour beyond 2 000 m depths, it is particularly important to laying contractors the availability of good simulation models. Many factors play a significant role in pipe resistance to external pressure, among which pipe thickness, diameter and material but also the load history must be taken into account, due to the high non-linearity of the mechanical systemI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
