Abstract
In the context of industrial processes, where dynamics and change are both rapid and unpredictable, the resilience of the supply chain represents a strategic priority for those companies operating in today’s industrial field. This thesis examines the fundamental principles of resilience, with a particular emphasis on the development of innovative strategies aimed at enhancing efficiency and preventing disruptions. Following a critical examination of the principal definitions and indicators of resilience, this work presents a concrete case study on the optimisation of the packaging line of a leading Italian kitchen furniture manufacturer. By means of process analysis and the application of models derived from the theory of complex systems, a dynamic simulation is realized for the purpose of observing the behaviour of the supply chain and identifying potential criticalities. This approach enabled the formulation of solutions aimed at enhancing overall efficiency and ensuring resilience. The conclusions underscore the significance of integrating technological innovation, ergonomics sustainability, and systems approaches in order to foster the development of resilient supply chains that are capable of adapting and thriving in highly competitive environments.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
