Praying with Artificial Intelligences between the Secularization of the World and the Legitimation of an Age. The paper discusses the relationship between two visions of the connection between modernization and Christianity - secularization and legitimation - by comparing the perspectives of Blumenberg and Lowith. It will be argued that these paradigms - if in synergy - allow an interpretative framework of the technological mediation of the practice of praying wich the advent of Artificial Intelligence makes a pervasive phenomenon and largely unknown in its long-term consequences, especially due to the influence it exerts on the intersubjectivity of believers and their sense of belief. Legitimation based on the concept of metaphorical reoccupation shows how public discourses and its practices achieve the transmission of meaning in a civilization. Secularization, on the other hand, insisting on the de-sacralizing continuity of modernization, identifies a continuity between Christianity and capitalism, where the latter strips the former of its spiritual and political prerogatives. Conceived in this way, Christianity and modernization would be both hybridizations and metamorphoses, this double link between the sacred sphere and civilization is at the center of the relationship between the deification of man and thecnological-individualistic society. We will try to read this dynamic by problematizing Stirner's vision wich identifies human sacralization as a deception against individual uniqueneess, its right to possess itself, its freedom of choice.

Abstract
We will try to read this dynamic by problematizing Stirner's vision wich identifies human sacralization as a deception against individual uniqueneess, its right to possess itself, its freedom of choice.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
