Patrimonio mondiale UNESCO: brandizzazione o cultura della gestione? Lo scenario dei siti emiliano-romagnoli, UNESCO World Heritage: branding or management culture? The scenario of Emilia-Romagna sites

Focussing on Emilia-Romagna cities already UNESCO sites, this paper investigates what being a “World Heritage Site” means and verifies the opportunities that it can trigger, considering both the relationship among ordinary policies (planning and protection policies) and the UNESCO management tools, and the increasing benefits that the protected site offers to the historic urban fabric.

Con particolare riferimento alle città emiliano-romagnole già sito UNESCO, il presente contributo indaga cosa significhi essere “patrimonio dell’umanità” e verifica le opportunità che quell’etichetta può innescare in termini di relazione fra politiche ordinarie, di pianificazione e tutela, e strumenti specifici della gestione UNESCO, nonché di moltiplicazione di benefici dal sito tutelato al tessuto urbano storico
