Triangolazioni. Mercanti ebrei, città adriatiche e commerci balcanici (secoli XVI-XVII)

After a brief methodological introduction, the article explores the economic history of the Adriatic between the 16th and 17th centuries through the lens of the mercantile activities. The phases of expansion and contraction are studied in relation to the construction of interconnected commercial spaces, between Adriatic cities on both shores and the Balkans. Particular attention is paid to the figures of merchants who were among the protagonists of this moment in the history of the Adriatic and, in particular, to the role played by Jewish merchants.
