This article describes the participation of our research group to the Italian Pavilion at the Biennale of Architecture 2021, in the universities' section. The pavilion's curator, Alessandro Melis, together with the research curators, Maurizio Carta and Paolo Di Nardo, invited our group to reflect about the idea of resilience and how, in our research, we are dealing with this topic. Branding4Resilience is the title of this contribution and of the research project of national interest that Maddalena Ferretti (P.I.) is leading for the Ministry of University and Research. The research, and the focus on the Marche Region is synthesised in this article, describing what are the challenges that Italian inner areas are facing, such as risks of abandonment, economic stagnation, social and climate issues. On this backdrop, new dynamics of innovation and a different quality of living is observable especially in the small villages analysed in the research.

Abstract
On this backdrop, new dynamics of innovation and a different quality of living is observable especially in the small villages analysed in the research.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
