Gender differences as socio-biological borders in the risk perception and resilience to floods – The scientific literature about risk perception and resilience to natural disasters underlines how the male and the female gender are different in these two aspects; therefore, further investigating this difference is essential for more effective risk management. Starting from this perspective, this work investigates the gender differences in flood risk perception in three regions of central Italy, with the aim of providing an effective and objective analysis tool.
