In my model of Personality Organizations (POs), the assimilation and reprocessing of experience according to the route of development of individual adaptive competences allows focusing on the physiological resources provided by each subject’s PO. In fact, each PO allows developing some specific sensory-perceptual susceptibilities, based on the fact that it appears more “permeable” and “sensitive” to the more significant aspects and to the predominant domains in its environment. In this way each PO evolves some distinctive assessment and operational strategies, and achieves selective and specialized adaptive resources that are then honed in the course of life. The reformulation of experience can help identify and bring forth the potential resources and adaptive competences – inhibited at the tacit level and ignored at the explicit level – that are related to the PO of the subject undergoing therapy. It is possible to see how on the one hand there is a constancy related to the consistency of development processes that lead to a specific basic organizational closure (Controlling, Detached, Contextualized or Normative types); on the other hand, it is possible to observe the complex evolutionary dynamics connected with the adaptive abilities used to assimilate and self-refer experience. The reformulation of experience thus provides access to new ways of living it that are consistent with the subject’s PO, thus also changing the matching behavioural expressions and highlighting those subjective resources that make each individual unique.

Abstract
The reformulation of experience thus provides access to new ways of living it that are consistent with the subject’s PO, thus also changing the matching behavioural expressions and highlighting those subjective resources that make each individual unique.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
