The paper presents a method to measure pulsed electromagnetic fields by means of low cost sensors; a short monopole is used to measure the electric field component, whereas a small loop is employed to capture the magnetic field component. The sensor dimensions can be chosen so that, in certain frequency range, it exhibits a derivative behaviour with respect to the incident field; therefore, a simple time integration is used to reconstruct the field time history from the sensor output voltage.

Abstract
The paper presents a method to measure pulsed electromagnetic fields by means of low cost sensors; a short monopole is used to measure the electric field component, whereas a small loop is employed to capture the magnetic field component. The sensor dimensions can be chosen so that, in certain frequency range, it exhibits a derivative behaviour with respect to the incident field; therefore, a simple time integration is used to reconstruct the field time history from the sensor output voltage.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
