An accurate numerical model has been developed to evaluate the current density flowing through the heart of a virtual human body to compare an electric and a magnetic excitation. This model is useful to investigate cardiac stimulation with a magnetic pulse. The waveform and intensity of the current density are a compromise between the strength of the magnetic induction field and the pulse rise time.

Abstract
An accurate numerical model has been developed to evaluate the current density flowing through the heart of a virtual human body to compare an electric and a magnetic excitation. This model is useful to investigate cardiac stimulation with a magnetic pulse. The waveform and intensity of the current density are a compromise between the strength of the magnetic induction field and the pulse rise time.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
