The research group, that has been designing, monitoring and using a building with 9 different passive solar systems since 1980, believes that the problems that have caused either the poor efficacy or the deactivation of said systems all over the word have not been solved yet. They are about summertime behaviour, the compatibility between the systems used and the climatic area as well as the lack of a widespread culture of architectural details, the efficiency of seal valves and the arduousness of their movement. The paper reports the outcomes of research aimed at solving some of these problems through a study of the solar prototype during the summer period on 2 levels: - Study of the construction elements: monitoring 3 passive solar systems and parametric analysis to extend the results to other materials and sizes. - Study of the environmental performance of the building overall: analysis of the energy consumptions and parametric analysis to extend the results to other envelopes, orientations and climatic conditions. These results could also be useful for the evaluation of traditional envelope’s behaviour.

Abstract
These results could also be useful for the evaluation of traditional envelope’s behaviour.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
