Abstract
This paper examines the role of healthcare staff culture and competencies in implementing technological innovations in public healthcare, particularly in response to systemic shocks. While technological advancements are widely studied, this research focuses on the workforce—doctors, nurses, and hospital staff—emphasizing how their skills and cultural alignment drive technology adoption and assimilation. By analyzing human capital, strategy, and organizational culture, this study provides a novel perspective on healthcare innovation. A PLS-SEM model evaluates the relationships between employee competencies, culture, and technology assimilation in a sample of 239 healthcare professionals. The findings show that organizational culture and staff competencies significantly enhance technology integration, improving patient outcomes and generating value. This study offers a framework for public healthcare organizations to incorporate cultural change and skill development as core pillars for sustainable technological innovation, reinforcing the need for human- centered approaches in digital transformation.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
