In this work, the Intel RealSense D455 depth camera is used under a set of different conditions to evaluate the feasibility of respiration volume analysis. The tests are conducted on a single subject who is instructed to stand and breathe normally at a distance of 1 m, 2 m, 3 m, and 3.5 m from the camera place. The device is placed at a height of 0.8 m. The experiments are repeated for three different clothing: a tight shirt, a T-shirt, and a sweater. To quantify the performances, a quality index for respiration analysis is defined to understand the effect of the external tested factors on the respiration signal quality.

Abstract
