In the rapidly evolving contexts of the Internet of Every-thing (IoE) and Industry 5.0 (I5.0), anomaly detection plays a crucial role. This study focuses on the unique data characteristics of these domains and proposes a taxonomy-oriented overview, together with a comprehensive discussion, of the literature regarding emerging anomaly detection methods in these contexts. Based on the collected contributions, this study also proposes a research agenda centered on the evolution of this research strand. It focuses on different key aspects, such as novel techniques, scalability, robustness, and interpretability, and advocates for further research in this field.

Abstract
In the rapidly evolving contexts of the Internet of Every-thing (IoE) and Industry 5.0 (I5.0), anomaly detection plays a crucial role. This study focuses on the unique data characteristics of these domains and proposes a taxonomy-oriented overview, together with a comprehensive discussion, of the literature regarding emerging anomaly detection methods in these contexts. Based on the collected contributions, this study also proposes a research agenda centered on the evolution of this research strand. It focuses on different key aspects, such as novel techniques, scalability, robustness, and interpretability, and advocates for further research in this field.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
