The paper proposes a reflection on the changes that digital technologies are bringing to the communication, conservation and management of cultural heritage. Starting from the project “The Galla Placidia Line” regarding a military landscape along the Adriatic coast, the authors intend to describe the ongoing research experience and contextualize it in the international panorama, focusing on the role of these tools for a conscious communication about widespread and dissonant heritage.
