Migrazioni “di ritorno”: strategie per una nuova cittadinanza

In general, the phenomenon of return migrations can be analyzed in relation to the theme of citizenship and the strategies that can be adopted to guarantee migrants who decide to return to their country of origin full participation in the social, political and economic life of the community of belonging. In today's condition, a new theme arises for architects: the architecture of post-terrorism and the new challenges it poses. Designing spaces that combine essential humanitarian aid with social reintegration solutions for those returning home after the end of the war. The conditions for repatriation of refugees and internally displaced persons are extremely difficult. The question of how to support those who wish to return home will become extremely pressing. Architecture is what we consider to be the key to promoting an efficient and socially inclusive process that explores the vision and potential of communities and which promotes equity, resilience and social capital formation. A vision of architecture as a service to the community; in taking care of people and places, principles and resources, architecture can make the difference. We think of architecture at the service of the "common good" and able to increase human social and environmental capital, curbing marginalization and exclusion.
