La conoscenza come presupposto fondamentale per il consolidamento delle costruzioni storiche: il caso delle mura medievali di Castelleone Di Suasa (Italia)

In this paper is reported the case study of the historical walls of Castelleone di Suasa (a small Italian town, located in the Marche region, Central Italy) and in particular on the deformation state of a portion of them which generated concern both in administrative managers and in the inhabitants who saw their safety threatened. Thanks to an approach based on a series of multidisciplinary activities useful for obtaining an in- depth knowledge of the structure, it was possible to propose a targeted therapeutic response, sustainable both on the economic side and on that of the protection of the building, due to the minimal impact on it. In this way the criterion of “minimal intervention” was respected without giving up the retrieval of the safety conditions.
