This paper deals with the characterization of a Radio Frequency (RF) mixer for wideband Acquisition Systems and Analog-to-Information Converters. In such applications, the mixer has not only a role of frequency up/down conversion but it is closer to an analog multiplier. Consequently, its nonlinear nature requires to be fully characterized in the whole operating band. In this work, an active mixer with a broadband RF port has been experimentally characterized, by measuring the Volterra kernels in the frequency domain up to the second order.

Abstract
This paper deals with the characterization of a Radio Frequency (RF) mixer for wideband Acquisition Systems and Analog-to-Information Converters. In such applications, the mixer has not only a role of frequency up/down conversion but it is closer to an analog multiplier. Consequently, its nonlinear nature requires to be fully characterized in the whole operating band. In this work, an active mixer with a broadband RF port has been experimentally characterized, by measuring the Volterra kernels in the frequency domain up to the second order.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
