In the landscape project, this asset identifies a tool for strengthening the sense of identity and the belonging to a place, through the local communities that remember, live and “care for” this particular landscape. A first step towards this territorial recognition and the identity space of the Pomposian lands is seen by the programme of system actions that can be implemented within the urban nucleus of Monticelli. The first traces of the settlement of the local community can be dated back to here. In this way, the further concrete and shared actions for the landscape care can be put in place by the communities, which will be able to confer improved landscape quality over time to the urban nucleus of Monticelli. This will strengthen its identity and their sense of community, and enhance areas that are at present neglected and undergoing degradation, to raise the environmental performance and the landscape values of this historic town through this new and rediscovered ‘pact’ between city and countryside.

Abstract
To guide the sustainable growth of the farming system of the Consortium of the Men of Massenzatica, the research activity has outlined and characterised some of the initial trajectories within a holistic view of the collective good. This is a historical settlement that was built up over time above the dune ridges formed by the progressive retreat of the Adriatic Sea, and by the banks of the various branches of the Po River. The first traces of the settlement of the local community can be dated back to here. In this way, the further concrete and shared actions for the landscape care can be put in place by the communities, which will be able to confer improved landscape quality over time to the urban nucleus of Monticelli. This will strengthen its identity and their sense of community, and enhance areas that are at present neglected and undergoing degradation, to raise the environmental performance and the landscape values of this historic town through this new and rediscovered ‘pact’ between city and countryside.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
