Landscape as an expression of sustainable action

Sustainable development represents one of the epochal challenges that await modern society, as a priority objective that must ideally engage all citizens to pursue development that can respond “... to the needs of the present, without compromising the ability of future generations to satisfy their own” (Our common future, 1987). For the first time, the Report entitled “Our common future” defines the cornerstones of sustainable action. It recognizing the starting point in local realities for the value of the person, of the necessary balance between man and the environment, in all its complexity.
