Common property and European landscape Convention With the approval on 20 November, 2017, of Law No. 168/2017 for the “Rules of collective State land ownership”(norme in materia di domini collettivi), the role and importance of these collectively owned lands was finally officially recognized by the Italian legal system, for the protection and safeguarding of the environment and the landscape, along with the contribution they can make to economic development.
