The strongly nonlinear dynamics of a noncontact AFM model with external feedback control is analyzed with the aim to achieve a description of its local and global dynamical behavior, and to realize a comparison with the results of the underlying uncontrolled system. As a result, the critical evaluation of the effectiveness of the control actuation is presented and the need to pursue an actually global control of the dynamics if solely bounded system responses are practically acceptable is highlighted.

Abstract
The strongly nonlinear dynamics of a noncontact AFM model with external feedback control is analyzed with the aim to achieve a description of its local and global dynamical behavior, and to realize a comparison with the results of the underlying uncontrolled system. As a result, the critical evaluation of the effectiveness of the control actuation is presented and the need to pursue an actually global control of the dynamics if solely bounded system responses are practically acceptable is highlighted.File in questo prodotto:
