In order to maintain or improve the quality of the offered services, managers of the Public Transit Systems (PTS) need to fully evaluate the performances of the main business processes of a PTS. To this end, a Decision Support System (DSS) can helps managers in both monitoring and evaluating the Business Objects (BOs) of interests. Several frameworks can be used in order to choose the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) needed to evaluate the selected BOs. However, frameworks don’t provide any suggestion about data needed to calculate the requested KPIs and related software modules. In this work, we propose a goal-driven methodology supporting the design of a suitable DSS. The methodology is based on the definition of a Knowledge Base that represents a conceptualization of the PTS domain in terms of BOs, KPIs, analysis dimensions and software modules. The definitions of the software modules are based on the Transmodel Data Model, which represents the European standard for PTS software. An implementation on a real world case is also presented and discussed.

Abstract
An implementation on a real world case is also presented and discussed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
