The aim of this paper is to propose optimization techniques for source stirred reverberation chambers. In particular, the stirring function is accomplished by 62 monopole antennas distributed on the chamber walls, and subsequently fed two at a time for a total of 1891 combinations. At first it is shown how an irregular placement of the antenna increases the chamber performances. Subsequently, an optimization algorithm based on the cumulative distribution function (CDF) is presented and the obtained results are evaluated in terms of statistical uniformity. Finally, the analytical formulation for the correlation matrix of the electromagnetic fields distribution due to all the couples of monopoles is introduced. Combining these two techniques, it is possible to reduce the number of the fed antenna pairs and improving the chamber performances.

Abstract
Combining these two techniques, it is possible to reduce the number of the fed antenna pairs and improving the chamber performances.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
