Adopting a sustainable mobility, reducing air pollution and promote efficient use of energy are essential steps toward a sustainable model for transport policy in urban areas. This paper is an approach to evaluate economic feasibility of sustainable mobility project in two Italian towns. To achieve this goal, the Astea Group, the local utility, in cooperation with ”Università Politecnica delle Marche” drawn up a project called "Astea mobility", a medium- long term draft which involves the construction on the territory, of recharging points for electric vehicles, motorcycles and electric bikes. The project is related to electric vehicle scenario and it want to be an approach for a real evaluation of this new and discussed sector. The paper presents the economic analysis carried out by the local utility and presented to local municipalities involved (Osimo and Recanati, Marche Region, Italy) in order to start an operation that will lead to the installation of several charging station starting from 2014. The first phase of the operation covers the period 2013-15: it involves a limited number of electric vehicles and charging stations and it consists in building infrastructures, starting operation of recharge services, analyzing data and finally carrying out a technical-economic validation of results.
