These pages aim to point out the interplay between the history of Europe over the last twenty-five years and the mix of professional commitment and different passions (from the academic to literary ones) of a European citizen, a citizen who feels European in its culture and mentality and who believes that another Europe is possible. A Europe where there are rules and constraints, but where there is also a social dimension in terms of rights and employment, growth and opportunity.
