The traditional collection or archaeological site are supported by digital collections that guarantee widespread dissemination, study and enhancement for different users, follow up degree and virtual truth. Certainly low cost methods allow a wide and sustainable documentation. The paper describes a survey campaign of the Leptis Magna and Sabratha sites aimed to stage the National Museum of Tripoli in Libya. This represents a full experience of knowledge. Some of the innovative technological outfitting has been made by the Touch Windows with our research group. The main target of the exhibition was to let visitors have an perceiving experience on archaeological site (building, context, artifact). Our second target was to show the most important Roman statues, that are often hardly achievable. Our study describes several experiences in the field of the full dome photographs processing, applied to documentation and modeling. Furthermore we have employed pseudoholographic tools for the visualization of full-figured statues in the 3D space. The statue model is visible in its morphologic coherence, thanks to the use of photographic and laser scanning acquisition. The research different stages have integrated spherical panoramas models, 3D models by spherical photogrammetry, mesh models by lidar scanning, real time video and virtual scenarios. This experience may become an efficient and low cost workflow for scientific and impressive communication of archaeological artifact in museums.
