This paper deals with the application of UWB radars for detecting the respiration parameters of a human being. We demonstrate that a simple algorithm used in the case of still subjects can be adapted, with small modifications, to the case in which the subject is moving. The algorithm can be applied to the relevant scenario of monitoring the respiration activity of an astronaut during rest.

Abstract
This paper deals with the application of UWB radars for detecting the respiration parameters of a human being. We demonstrate that a simple algorithm used in the case of still subjects can be adapted, with small modifications, to the case in which the subject is moving. The algorithm can be applied to the relevant scenario of monitoring the respiration activity of an astronaut during rest.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
